Tawny - Tolati Oriental Dance group

Tawny began her dance training at the age of 3 followed by her first stage performance at the age of 4 at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Having started dancing at such an early age she understands the type of discipline it takes to be a successful artist with a strong passion. As a child she would constantly ask for feedback from her dance teachers and observe every movement closely. She was not only fascinated but determined and focused.

At the age of 5, she took to the ice and danced on through her teens and adult life until finally arriving in Portugal in 2001.  The Algarve being singularly lacking in ice, she became captivated by the art of Oriental Dance and quickly became a very dedicated student of every level of belly dance. She developed her craft through diligent work and under the supervision of a renowned teacher. Her artful interpretation of music contributes to creating exciting and unforgettable performances.

Because she was introduced to dance at such an early age it has helped her in various other body awareness types of activities; such as Tai Chi.
